Neri Miranda is a self-made entrepreneur, and it all started with her now-famous gourmet tuyo.

Neri Miranda cannot seem to switch off being business-minded.

"Yung mind ko, active masyado," the celebrity mom told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the Globe MyBusiness x PEP.ph Star Bazaar on August 17, in SM Megamall Event Center, Ortigas, Mandaluyong City.

Her husband is Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda Jr.

To date, the self-dubbed "Wais na Misis" has a number of small businesses under her management.

Neri has a bakeshop and an ukay-ukay store.

She also sells sleepwear and linens, and she offers home or event space rentals in Alfonso, Cavite where she, Chito, and son Miggy reside.

And, of course, there's gourmet tuyo—the product that started it all.

Recounting how her gourmet tuyo became a bazaar-favorite, Neri wrote on her blog, "Honestly, aksidente lang talaga ang success story ng Gourmet Tuyo ko.

"Sabi nga nila, the rest is history."

PASSION MEETS PURPOSE

Elaborating further about the growth of her business, Neri highlighted that most of her ventures were aligned with her interests.

Passion ko talaga," the former Star Circle Quest star continued on her blog.

Ako kase mahilig akong magluto, magtanim, at mag-ukay.

But Neri also had her share of business failures.

Neri also has a tea shop franchise in Baguio, but it didn't really take off.

Despite these instances, it doesn't stop Neri from coming up with new ideas.

SIMPLE BLISS

While Neri admits that money from business isn't as grand as money from showbiz, the family woman in her is already fulfilled.

Her advice to fellow aspiring business makers?
