LJ Reyes says she was not scared when she gave birth to her eldest, son Aki Reyes. But it is a different story this time around.

LJ Reyes, who is due to give birth in January 2019, is not fully prepared yet for the arrival of her daughter with actor Paolo Contis.

"Nag-aano na ko, practice ng breathing," LJ says with a laugh when asked about her preparations.

PEP.ph's chat with LJ Reyes takes place on November 24, at the advance screening of Paolo's film Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap in UP Film Institute's Cine Adarna, Diliman, Quezon City.

SCARED OF GIVING BIRTH FOR THE SECOND TIME

LJ admits she is nervous about her upcoming delivery, given that it has been eight years since she gave birth to her eldest, Aki Reyes, her son with former partner Paulo Avelino.

"Sabi nga nila five years… kunwari five years ang agwat parang first pregnancy daw uli yun sa katawan ng babae.

"Ngayon sabi ko, ‘Ah medyo nakakatakot pala, no?'"

But excitement overshadows fear.

LJ continues, "But we are very excited, kahit si Aki, very excited.

The 30-year-old star gave birth to Aki in the United States, where her family is based. For her second pregnancy, LJ will give birth here in the Philippines, though her mom will not be able to come home.
