The Moffatts are back in Manila to perform their hits for their Filipino fans.

This Canadian pop-rock group, composed of brothers Scott, Clint, Bob and Dave Moffatt, was one of the biggest boy bands during the '90s.

This Friday, November 30, the band will be staging its reunion concert produced by Midas Promotions at the New Frontier Theater.

Last November 23, The Moffatts went to Cebu to perform at the Hoops Dome Arena.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press had a chance to interview the four-member American band last Monday, November 26.

During the press conference, the band members revealed what they love most about the Philippines.

Bob said he's motivated by the energy of their Pinoy fans.

"I think for me, personally, the feeling I get whenever I'm here, it's a relaxed feeling.

"The people here are very positive and they really embrace family. It's really nice because it's just a warm feeling for me when I get here.

"I believe in energy. I believe when you're walking around past people and you feel that 'cause we're all connected.

"I feel different when I'm in a place like the Philippines or... I love Bali.

"I was just in Bali before I got here, too. And I just feel like there's a different energy that's surrounding us and I love that."

His twin brother Clint agreed, by saying: "It's one of those places where my shoulders can drop and I feel comfortable and relaxed.

"And the food is amazing, too."

Dave gave his own list of favorite Pinoy dishes.

"I love to eat a lot. You can tell that the last time I was here, I was a lot skinnier.

"And now, I'm a lot bigger but we actually had a boodle fight a few days ago in Cebu.

"And I love boodle fights... I like adobo, I like lechon. I like sisig.

"We're big fans of Filipino food."

COLLABORATIONS

The band members were also asked if they are open to doing a collaboration with a Filipino artist.

Last Sunday, November 25, The Moffatts had a chance to perform on GMA-7's noontime show Sunday PinaSaya.

On that day, Julie Anne San Jose performed the band's hit songs "Miss You Like Crazy" and "If Life Is So Short" along with Kapuso singers Garrett Bolden and Maricris Garcia.

Bob admitted that they were impressed after hearing the trio.

He revealed that they invited Julie Anne to do a collaboration with them and are just waiting for her go signal to do it.

Bob said, "We told her [to do a collab] when we saw her and we love her.

"She sang our song 'Miss You Like Crazy...' Honestly, it was cool to hear her sing that 'cause they sounded new again.

"'Cause we only heard those songs with our voices when we were 14 and 15.

"To kinda hear that song with a female perspective, it sounded great.

"So I mean, it would be cool to do something and may be bring out one of those songs and do that again.

"We said, we told her and said, 'Hey, we'd love to do it.'

"So the ball's in her court. Maybe it'll happen or it won't, but we'll definitely keep you posted."

Members of the Philippine media also asked if they invited Rachel Peters to perform with them at the concert.

Last year, Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel performed the song "Without You" with the band.

Clint recalled, "That was a great duet... You know, it was fun we should do it again."

Bob invited Rachel to do another song with them, "It's just awesome that she's doing it here with us.

"The last time that we're here, we spent a lot of time together running around...

"And she needs to go get us coffees when we're busy. Like two days after we leave, she wins Miss Philippines.

"So it's very cool. Congratulations, by the way. You worked really hard and you deserve that.

"But yeah, it would be great to sing again."

REUNION CONCERT

What can their fans expect at their 2018 Philippine concert?

Bob answered, "I think we're gonna have a lot of fun.

"We're gonna bring out a lot of songs that we actually never played even back in the day.

"Songs like 'Don't Walk Away' or 'Girl I'm Gonna Get You,' which are probably fan favorites.

"They're favorites of ours but we just never ended up doing them [on stage].

"I think we're gonna dive back in the past, we're gonna bring in some stuff from Submodalities [their fourth studio album].

"We're gonna play some new stuff like the new single 'So In Love.'

"We're gonna try to make it as intimate as we can and just have some fun and we'll see where it takes us."
